Annual Facility Maintenance

The Kelowna Family Y and H₂O Adventure + Fitness Centre are undergoing routine annual maintenance this fall to ensure our facilities remain safe and in top condition.

Kelowna Family Y

Maintenance at the Kelowna Family Y will occur between August 23–September 7.

Closure Dates

• Pool—closed August 23–September 7
• Gymnasium—closed August 25–31 (updated)
• Full facility—closed August 28 & 29
• Family change room—closed August 23–25
• Men's change room—closed August 26–28
• Women's change room—closed August 30–September 1

Child minding will remain open during all closures except the full facility closure on August 28 & 29.

Alternative Access

Kelowna Family Y members may access the following centres during the maintenance period.

• Access to H₂O Adventure + Fitness Centre from August 23–September 7 (H₂O Hours and Schedules)
• The Kelowna Downtown Y will be open and available for Kelowna Family Y members to access as usual.

H₂O Adventure + Fitness Centre

Maintenance at the H₂O Adventure + Fitness Centre will take place between September 8–October 2. Though some areas need to close completely, we've designed the following schedule to keep as many amenities open as possible while allowing the important work to do done.

Closure Details

• Water park area—closed September 8–October 2. This includes the lazy river, wave pool, water slides, and family hot tub.
• Steam room—closed September 8–October 2.
• Pool change rooms—intermittent disruptions September 8–October 2 due to locker replacements (see new equipment section). There will always be another change room available for use while one is closed.
• 50 m pool and adult hot tub
  • September 8–12
    • Open Monday–Friday from 6–8 a.m. and 5–9 p.m.
    • Closed Saturday & Sunday
  • September 13–23
    • Open Monday–Friday from 6–8 a.m. and 5–9 p.m.
    • Open Saturday & Sunday from 5–8 p.m.
  • September 24 onwards
    • Open Monday–Friday from 6 a.m.–9 p.m.
    • Open Saturday & Sunday from 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
• FlowRider®
  • September 8–12
    • Open Monday–Friday from 5–8 p.m.
    • Closed Saturday & Sunday
  • September 13 onwards
    • Open Monday–Friday from 5–8 p.m.
    • Open Saturday & Sunday from 5–7:30 p.m.

The Fitness Floor and Child Minding at H₂O will remain open throughout the maintenance period.

Alternative Access

H₂O members may access the Kelowna Family Y during the maintenance period.

New Equipment

• New lockers are coming to the pool change rooms! This much-needed upgrade will be of long-term benefit to H₂O members and guests.
• A new play structure is coming to H₂O! We'll be completing crucial work during the maintenance period to allow for the completion of the play structure in late fall. Stay tuned for more updates about this exciting addition to our water park.

Kelowna Downtown Y

The Kelowna Downtown Y will remain open as usual.
