Licensed Spring Break Camps are open for registration!

Licensed YMCA Child Care Camps are a home away from home, where your child can make friends and explore their interests.
Camp is available at the following locations:
- YMCA Black Mountain Child Care Centre – 1650 Gallagher Road
- YMCA Okanagan Mission Child Care Centre – 4548 Gordon Drive
- YMCA Child Care at Pearson Elementary School – 700 Pearson Road
- YMCA George Elliot Secondary Child Care Centre – 10241 Bottom Wood Lake Road, Lake Country
Cost Spring Break Per Week
- Children in Kindergarten: $170.00 ($250 Program Fees - $80 Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative)
- Children in Grades 1 – 6: $221.25 ($250 Program Fees - $28.75 Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative)
Children must be enrolled in grades kindergarten to grade 6 (in elementary school) to attend YMCA Licensed Camps.
Families with children in a YMCA of SIBC Licensed Child Care Camps are able to access and apply for the Affordable Child Care Benefit & YMCA Financial Assistance. (The Affordable Child Care Benefit is not available for families with children in YMCA recreation camps.)

Dive into the vibrant world of anime at our Anime Adventure Camp! This week-long camp is perfect for young anime enthusiasts who want to explore the fascinating world of anime in a fun, social, intellectually stimulating environment. Each day will be filled with exciting games and activities, creative projects, and discussions centered around the variety of art styles, story telling, and backgrounds of their favourite anime.

Week 1 Theme: Imagination Station
Welcome to the Imagination Station Camp, where creativity knows no bounds! This week-long camp is designed for young dreamers and inventors who love to explore, create, and let their imaginations run wild. Each day will be filled with exciting activities that encourage campers to think outside the box and bring their fantastical ideas to life.

Week 1 Theme: Art Explosion
Unleash your creativity at the Art Explosion Camp! This week-long camp is perfect for young artists who love to explore different mediums and express themselves through art. Each day will be filled with exciting projects, from painting and drawing to sculpture and mixed media, allowing campers to experiment and discover their unique artistic style.

Week 2 Theme: Wellness Heros
Join us for an empowering week at the Wellness Heros Camp, where kids become champions of their own well-being and get to showcase their authentic selves! This camp is designed to inspire and educate young minds about the importance of physical, mental, and emotional wellness through sports and other fun and engaging activities. Each day, campers will embark on a new adventure, learning how to be their own wellness heroes.

Recreational Camps
Recreational Spring Break Camp will be open for registration on Wednesday January 29th, 2025 at 10:00am.
YMCA Recreational Camps offer a safe space for children to develop skills and make friends while embracing a mind-body-spirit philosophy during their break. We proudly uphold the YMCA's core values of caring, respect, responsibility, honesty, and inclusivity, ensuring every child feels welcome and inspired.

Cost of Spring Break per week
- Members: $235.00
- Non- members: $285.00

Y Basketball camp offers a fun-filled experience with engaging drills and activities that foster friendships, teamwork, and fitness in a fun and supportive environment. Campers will work on skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense, through engaging skill-building drills and friendly games. Campers will not only improve their basketball skills but also enjoy time in our pools, making the most of our fantastic facilities. Join us for a spring break of sports, fun, and new friends!

Child & Youth Programs and Recreation
From swimming to sports, art, leadership, movie nights and Family Play Time, the Y has a variety of recreational programs available year round to keep all ages and stages active, social, and engaged in a fun setting.
Financial Assistance
As a charity, the Y believes no family should be turned away because of financial circumstances. Thanks to generous donors, the Y is able to provide financial assistance on camps and children's programs to families who could not otherwise afford them.
