2024 Highlights
- Partnered with Central Okanagan School District to support low-income children and at-risk youth through drop-out prevention programs, early learning opportunities and health partnerships.
- Opened our new Lake Country Child Care facility, expanded another, and began construction on three more, creating an additional 340+ child care spaces for local families.
- Provided safe spaces for youth, welcoming over 20 students daily in our new high school lunch hour and newcomer homework clubs in the Rutland area.
- Supported 22 students entering the child care sector as Early Childhood Educators, with free education helping to fuel their careers and increasing access to quality, affordable, child care for hundreds of local families.
- Partnered with the KGH Foundation to collaboratively support the health of our community members – creating a new Pulmonary Rehab program with Interior Health.
- Invested in the development of young leaders, and our commitment to Equity, by establishing our Youth Advisory Council (YAC) and first JAIDE Committee.
